It was an excellent talk on Friday 19 June by Keith Goodchild, a former Lifeguard, who at 6’7” gave in imposing impression in his uniform (made of barrathea cloth, braided with real gold). He talked about his time with the Lifeguards, working in a position which brought him into contact with members of the Royal Family at times, and also about the horses which are used on state occasions. Supper and a raffle concluded the evening’s entertainment.
